Kiwanis Clubs of Columbia and Tri-Cities Industry
The Group Health Inland Empire Century supports Safe Kids, Bicycle Alliance of Washington, League of American Bicyclists, and Adventure Cycling Association.

Join us May 10, 2008 on a great ride, the Group Health Inland Empire Century (IEC). Routes showcasing the Columbia and Yakima rivers - through parks and over bridges - join the traditional route in the Horse Heaven Hills. Ride options are from an easy 25 miles to challenging 50, 75 or 100 mile tours. All routes showcase the scenic beauty of the lower Yakima/Columbia River valley with its vineyards, wheat fields and fruit orchards.
From Richland you will cross the Columbia River to Pasco and then back across to Kennewick, following the river west toward West Richland. The shorter ride loops back to Richland, while other rides go on to Benton City. The 50 mile ride comes back along the Yakima River to Richland. The 75 and 100 mile rides climb Webber Canyon to the green rolling wheat fields of the Horse Heaven Hills. Before descending out of the wheat fields above Prosser you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the entire lower Yakima River valley. The route then travels westward from Prosser to the outskirts of Grandview, and back to Prosser. You continue via the Old Inland Empire Highway to Benton City and join the 50 mile route back to Richland. The road to Grandview and the Old Inland Empire Highway are surrounded by vineyards and fields of hops and fruit trees.
Celebrate a fine ride at the Finish Line party at the end of Lee Boulevard where you started.
This is a fully supported century with food, rest stops, route map, and sag wagon
